Richard Lukaj Elected to World Affairs Forum Board

Albanian-American Richard Lukaj is one of the three new members from Greenwich elected to the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Forum.
The additions to the prestigious organization took place during its June 8 Annual Meeting held at the Stamford Yacht Club, Greenwich Sentinel reports.
Lukaj, a founder and Senior Managing Director of The Bank Street Group LLC is well-known in the Albanian community, especially for the role he played as the Chairman of the National Albanian American Council (NAAC).
Among his numerous philanthropic activities, Richard Lukaj is a founder of the American University in Kosovo and of the Action for Mothers and Children in Kosova to save critical care babies, in honor of his late daughter, Adelina.
Richard Lukaj has served also as Albania’s Honorary Consul to the United States.
The World Affairs Forum is based in Fairfield and Westchester counties and is part of a national network of over 95 councils across the country. Established in 1946, it describes its mission as aiming to educate “our members, students and the public about global affairs and America’s role in the world”.
