AAWO Motrat Qiriazi is proud to announce that two wonderful young professional ladies from our community: Tess Kukaj and Vera Belliu, have joined the AAWO Board of Directors. Tess and Vera have a long standing commitment to matters that impact the issues that young immigrant communities like ours face every day.
Tess’ education and professional career is focused on mental health and public health. She will provide guidance to our health referral network and mothers and children health concerns. Vera Belliu has a long standing involvement with AAWO Motrat Qiriazi since she was a young girl. She has contributed through her role as producer in the Albanian Culture TV to feature many of our outreach and fundraising events and to bring the voice of women through the community television waves.
Vera will strengthen the media and arts programming at AAWO. It’s important to point out that all the work that AAWO Board members do is 100% voluntary, and it requires a serious commitment and often long hours of service. We are immensely proud of these two young ladies to represent the young generation of Albanian-Americans and are role models for young girls in our community.
Please join us to once again congratulate Tess Kukaj and Vera Belliu.
